Bob McDonald brings nearly 30 years of construction experience to the industry. He began his career as a teenager working for his family’s roofing company, where he developed a strong work ethic and a keen attention to detail that continue to guide his leadership today.
After graduating from college, Bob entered the multifamily construction industry as a field engineer, where he quickly recognized the critical role scheduling plays in project success — a principle that has remained a cornerstone of his approach throughout his career.
Over the past three decades, Bob has built extensive experience across the eastern United States in site development, single-family, and multifamily construction. As Vice President of Operations at LandSouth, he provides leadership and operational consistency across all projects, ensuring client schedules are achieved without compromising quality or safety.
Bob is deeply committed to building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and the LandSouth team. Passionate about developing talent from within, he prioritizes mentoring and empowering team members through clear communication, collaboration, and leadership.
Bob earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Kent State University and proudly serves on the Board of Directors for Beaches Habitat for Humanity, supporting its mission to provide simple, decent, and affordable housing in the Jacksonville Beaches community. Giving back and making a meaningful impact in the communities where they live and work is a core value for both Bob and LandSouth, which is why partnering with organizations like Habitat for Humanity remains such an important priority. Bob is especially thankful for the opportunity to help create Team LandSouth, a charitable initiative that partners with local high school athletic programs to support Beaches Habitat. Through the program, student-athletes participate in Habitat workdays while LandSouth provides a contribution to their team, creating an opportunity for students to give back to the community, learn more about Habitat’s mission, and reinforce the value of teamwork beyond sports.
